One week-end, two markets.
And quite a few exquisitely sweet, delicious, ripe and flavorful persimmons eaten... (never mind the FODMAPs). Here are some more snapshots (that will speak for themselves) and memories from my happy and satisfying experience (many tastings!) with the Palo Alto Saturday Morning Farmers Market, which had a nice, quiet and intimate feel...
(those gluten-free cakes were great!)
And the Mountain View Sunday Morning Farmers Market, a bigger size and convivial market with colorful and and inviting fruits and vegetables stalls, and many other offerings...
(more delicious gluten-free muffins at this market!! and not shown here, at the same stall, I found an excellent flourless chocolate cake!)
(this is *incredible sorbet*!!!)
By the way:
- For info on Palo Alto's Farmers Market, see here! If you go early in the morning and are up for a low-gluten (non-dairy free) treat, buckwheat pancakes (which do contain some wheat flour) can be enjoyed for breakfast.
- For info on Mountain View's Farmers Market, see here! And be prepared for many samples and tastings!! (no need to eat breakfast beforehand!!)
