It was great visiting the Big Apple.
"Once a New Yorker, always a New Yorker", it is said. So, I wanted to post again snapshots from the City where it all started. Beautiful purple hues, root vegetables and (of course!) apples greeted me as I passed through the Union Square Market in a recent visit.
Winter and Thanksgiving squashes lit up a few stalls...
And of course had to stop by a bakery stand with GF options I used to visit... (nice pear and chocolate GF muffins though all taste good!)
By the way:
- The market needs no introduction and is the haunt of chefs and foodies, local or not (see pioneering Chef Alice Waters, visiting a month ago). Still to find out more about it, here is a good start.
